The communications industry evolves rapidly and its developments do not take into account the borders, but are often global phenomena that propagate rapidly. For this reason, the international relations activity is an important part of ANCOM's activity and their main objective is to represent Romania within the organizations in ANCOM's field of responsibility in order to promote Romania's interests in the field.

ANCOM collaborates with the European Union institutions, with international organizations and institutions and with regulatory authorities from other states, representing the Romanian state in regional and international bodies and organizations, as a regulatory authority in the field of electronic communications and postal services and for the administration of limited resources in the field of electronic communications.

ANCOM's international relations activity is carried out at global, European and regional level, while maintaining the national component, through a permanent collaboration with the partner institutions in Romania: the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs etc. At international level, ANCOM operates in accordance with the foreign policy objectives set at national level, as an autonomous public authority with regulatory powers in the field of electronic communications and postal services and administration of limited resources in the electronic communications sector.
