ANCOM published today, on its website, the draft Government Decision establishing the amount of the minimum values of the licence fees for the awarding of the radio frequency usage rights in the 790-862 MHz, 880-915 MHz/925-960 MHz, 1710-1785 MHz/1805-1880 MHz and 2500-2690 MHz bands and the related Explanatory Memorandum. The draft decision, which is included in the set of documents that ANCOM needs in order to organise this year’s spectrum auction, was initiated by the General Secretariat of the Government, at the ANCOM proposal.
As announced by the Authority on 14 March 2012, when the documents of the radio spectrum auction to be held this year were submitted to public consultation, the values proposed for the auctioned spectrum resources range between EUR 0.8 million and EUR 40 million, depending on the band for which the licences are awarded and on their validity period.
The awarding of the frequency usage rights will be bound by the payment to the state budget of the fees resulting from the auction.
