15.07.2011

The President of ANCOM, Mr. Cãtãlin Marinescu, and the Minister of Communications and Information Society, Mr. Valerian Vreme, signed on Friday the non-reimbursable financing contract for the development of an e-learning portal intended for the online training of the ANCOM personnel and of the entities operating in the area regulated by ANCOM.
The obtained non-reimbursable financingamounts to 8,628,273.78 lei and was awarded following the ANCOM submission of the project within the Sector Operational Programme “Enhance Economic Competition”.
The overall objective of the project is to develop an e-education portal (with intranet and internet components) which would facilitate the access to information and provide state-of-the-art technological support in view of rendering more efficient the process of education, improvement and continuous development of the ANCOM personnel, on the one hand, and would allow for the access of the entities operating in the area regulated by ANCOM to alternative training modules concerning the regulated fields and the registration and reporting methodology, on the other hand.
The creation and implementation of the e-learning platform for the online training of the beneficiary’s employees will contribute to improving the professional level of the ANCOM staff. This will have both direct effects, i.e. on the beneficiaries of the services offered by ANCOM (the providers of electronic communications services, audiovisual communications, postal services, radio equipment and terminal telecommunications equipment), and indirect effects, i.e. on the increase of productivity at a level comparative with that existing within similar regulatory authorities across the European Union.
Moreover, this project responds to the requests of the students that have benefited from internship sessions within the Authority to acquire experience and knowledge, facilitating - by means of a proper training process - their insertion on the labour market.

The implementation period of the project is 20 months, wherein ANCOM is bound to complete all the activities under the project.
