ANCOM

The National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM) has launched for public consultation a draft decision aimed at extending the use of the electronic service “My ANCOM” to a new category of beneficiaries – holders of broadcasting licenses.

Through the proposed new provisions, the holders of a broadcasting license, as defined in art. 1 item 31 of the Audiovisual Law no. 504/2002, will be able to benefit, upon request, from the “My ANCOM” service, along with other categories of beneficiaries, such as network operators (water, transport, electricity, natural gas, etc.), central or local public administration authorities.

ANCOM issues broadcasting licenses in accordance with the provisions of art. 59 of Law no. 504/2002, as well as the ANCOM President’s Decision no. 629/2010 on the procedure for authorizing the provision of audiovisual program services, the Authority having established functional relations with this category of potential beneficiaries of the “My ANCOM” service.

The project also includes the update of the form in Annex no. 2 of ANCOM Decision no. 333/2024, in order to align it with the other forms used within the service.

About the “My ANCOM” service

“My ANCOM” is a secure electronic platform, through which ANCOM can transmit official documents – in original or in a certified true copy – such as:

  • requests for information;
  • Decisions;
  • records of findings and penalties pertaining to contraventions;
  • writs of execution;
  • responses to various requests or complaints;
  • information notices and other administrative acts.

Key functionalities of the service include:

  • automatic recording of the date and time of upload of each document;
  • keeping the documents for a period of 3 years;
  • notifying the recipient by email as soon as a document has been uploaded;
  • impossibility of modifying the documents or details related to the date/time of transmission.
Public consultation process

The draft decision for amending and supplementing the Decision of the National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications no. 333/2024 on the communication of documents through the “My ANCOM” service is available, in Romanian, here. Interested persons are invited to formulate and submit observations and proposals by 31.07.2025, at the ANCOM headquarters (2 Delea Noua Street, sector 3, Bucharest), through the Online Registry or through the regional divisions of the Authority.
