National Table for Frequencies Allocation

Informational material on authorizing the construction of electronic communications networks

To support central and local public authorities, ANCOM has prepared an informational material summarizing the provisions of the law regarding the authorization of construction works in the field of electronic communications.

Providers

This section provides information on entities authorized by ANCOM to provide public electronic communications networks or electronic communications services intended for the public, postal services, as well as on providers of interpersonal communications services based on numbers, who hold numbering resources.

Intermediary services providers

The Digital Services Act is a directly applicable EU legal act targeting intermediary services providers, including online platforms such as online marketplaces, social networks, content-sharing platforms, app stores, and online travel and accommodation platforms.

Non-conforming equipment

Radio equipment is considered non-conforming when it does not meet a specific set of requirements, known as essential requirements: protection of the health and safety of the user, protection regarding electromagnetic compatibility, and the efficient use of the radio spectrum to avoid harmful interference.

My ANCOM is a private virtual space through which ANCOM communicates various documents, such as requests for information, decisions, records of findings and sanctioning decisions, enforcement documents, responses to various requests, notifications, or other administrative acts.

Studies and Statistics

The Studies and Statistics Platform, developed by ANCOM, facilitates the collection, publication, and transparent access to relevant statistical data on Romania’s electronic communications market, providing up-to-date information on consumer behavior, network infrastructure, and the evolution of communications services.

The Single Point of Information ensures access for providers of public electronic communications networks to information on the location, route, type, and current use of physical infrastructure owned by network operators and public sector bodies.
