The president of ANCOM, Mr. Catalin Marinescu, took part in Telecom 2011, an event held by the Business Review magazine. The subjects approached during this event concerned the measures that the Government will implement in order to safeguard and incentivize the telecom industry, the national broadband strategy, the solutions for reducing the gaps between the urban area and the rural area and for allowing the Internet access (the need of spectrum in the context of the traffic exponential growth; the implementation of strategies regarding the frequency bandwidth for mobile services in order to establish medium-run and long-run predictabilities), new technologies, new licences and new frequency bands for 4G mobile services etc.
